Self-help for Commonly Encountered Errors
  1. Unable to login to IDMS

    Please key in the correct User Id and Password.

    If you are a student then your User ID is same as your Student ID.

    If you are unable to login inspite of entering the correct userid and password, click here to follow the instructions before contacting the Service Desk.

  2. Unable to receive OTP via SMS

    If you are a student, please make sure the last four digits of your mobile number you see on the screen is the same as what you have provided during your registration.
    If you are a staff, please make sure the last four digits of your mobile number you see on the screen is the same as what you have provided.

    If you are still unable to receive the OTP inspite of verifying the last four digits of your mobile number, click here to follow the instructions before contacting the Service Desk.

  3. Unable to receive password change notifications via SMS

    Please make sure you have subscribed to receive the password change notifications. If not, follow the instruction provided here.

    If you are still unable to receive the password change notifications inspite of subscribing to the service, click here to follow the instructions before contacting the Service Desk.

  4. Unable to Authenticate with SingPass

    Please make sure you have the valid SingPass ID and password and NRIC/FIN you are using to login to SingPass is the same as what you provided to SP. To check the validity of the SingPass, you can verify that via other e-Gov service, like CPF or iRAS which also uses the SingPass as authentication mechanism.

    If you are a student, please make sure the NRIC/FIN you are using to login to SingPass is the same as what you have provided during your registration.
    If you are a staff or faculty members, please make sure the NRIC/FIN you are using to login to SingPass is the same as what you have provided during your appointment.

  5. Unable to Login to my e-service after changing the password in IDMS

Instructions before contacting the Service Desk

Information to gather before contacting Service Desk

  1. Problem/error encountered along with the sequence of steps performed.
  2. The exact error message you see on the screen.
  3. If you are sending a email, please send screenshots of the error page with the sequence of steps performed.

Instructions to be followed when contacting Service Desk

When contacting the Service Desk, please do provide them at least the following information for us to effectively assist you:

  1. Full Name as registered with Singapore Polytechnic.
  2. SPICE User ID (Your ID as provided by SP , it can be found on your student ID card, and prefix with alphabet).
  3. Department joined (if applicable).
  4. Problem description.
